Aldar enters Sharjah market with AED 1.1 billion Aljada acquisition

Aldar has signed a forward purchase agreement with Arada for nine residential buildings in Aljada, marking its first real estate investment in Sharjah.
Aldar has announced an AED 1.1 billion investment to acquire three residential blocks within the Aljada master development. The transaction involves nine buildings containing more than 1,100 units, which Arada is scheduled to deliver by the fourth quarter of 2029.
The deal represents Aldar’s first entry into the Sharjah real estate market. According to Arada, the investment expands Aldar’s develop-to-hold pipeline to AED 21 billion and follows a previously announced AED 15 billion partnership between the two developers.
The acquired units are intended to cater to end-users and long-term renters. Aljada currently spans 2.2 million square metres and is expected to house approximately 25,000 residential units upon completion, with over 8,800 homes already delivered since 2021.
The community features established infrastructure including international schools, hotels, and the Madar entertainment district. Future phases of the development will include the Arada Central Business District and Madar Mall to further expand commercial and retail offerings.
