Paid parking system launches in Aljada with ticketless technology

Parkin Company has introduced a phased paid parking system in Aljada using number plate recognition technology across street and retail locations.
Parkin Company has commenced the rollout of a new paid parking system in Aljada. The system utilises Automatic Number Plate Recognition technology to provide a ticketless experience for motorists. The implementation covers designated on-street, off-street, and specific retail parking areas within the community.
According to Khaleej Times, tariffs vary by location. On-street parking at East Boulevard is set at Dh6.30 per hour including VAT, operating 24 hours a day. Off-street lots are charged at Dh4.20 per hour between 8am and midnight. Retail parking at The Boulevard, Tiraz, and Misk offers the first two hours free, followed by a Dh10 hourly rate.
The project is expected to deliver up to 9,900 spaces in phases through 2030. Residents retain parking rights as outlined in their property deeds, while additional spaces fall under the new management. Digital platforms and existing payment channels are available for managing subscriptions and visitor fees.
The partnership between Arada and Parkin aims to manage infrastructure as the development grows. Approximately 1,400 spaces are expected to be operational by the start of the third quarter of 2026 as part of the initial phase of the rollout.
