Shamsa Entertainment City opens in Aljada for Sharjah summer campaign

The family destination features interactive zones and workshops at Aljada as part of the Sharjah Summer Promotions 2026 through to 5 September.
Shamsa Entertainment City has launched at its new location in Aljada, serving as a central hub for the Sharjah Summer Promotions. The destination operates under the theme Shamsa Festival – Where Joy Shines, offering activities that combine learning, creativity and entertainment for young visitors. The site is open daily from 10am to 10pm on weekdays, with closing times extended to 11pm on weekends.
The facility includes several dedicated zones such as Taj Shamsa Studios for creative crafts and the Shamsa Culinary Lab for cooking skills. According to Gulf News, the Grand Play Arena provides augmented reality technology, adventure games and electric bumper cars. Children can also participate in interactive features like a Wall of Gratitude and a messaging station.
Organised by the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Sharjah Commerce and Tourism Development Authority, the initiative includes the distribution of 7,000 gifts to children based on family purchases at participating centres. The wider summer campaign involves over 55 partners and offers retail discounts of up to 75 per cent across the emirate.
The project aims to strengthen the position of the emirate as a family tourism destination while supporting local retailers. The campaign spans multiple regions including Sharjah City, the Central Region and the East Coast, featuring more than 60 tourism packages and hundreds of prizes for participants.
