Arada awards AED145 million contract for Aljada sports complex

A new 400,000 square foot sports park featuring professional pitches and courts is scheduled for completion at Aljada by the end of 2026.
Arada has awarded a construction contract valued at AED145 million to Civic Builders Trading & Contracting LLC for a new sports complex at Aljada. Work has already commenced on the 400,000 square foot facility, which is situated within a landscaped park. The project is scheduled for handover by the end of 2026.
The complex will feature a full-size football pitch alongside smaller 5-a-side pitches. Residents will have access to dedicated courts for basketball, padel tennis, volleyball, squash, and badminton. The site also includes cycling and jogging tracks, adventure play areas for children, and a water play zone.
According to Arada, the facility will include two floors of underground parking to accommodate visitors. On-site amenities include changing rooms and two food and beverage outlets, one of which is the Australian coffee brand Reformatory Lab. The development currently houses 20,000 residents following the completion of 7,500 homes.
